Relativity cont …(3)

Ravana was born in India to a great sage Vaisrava and a daitya princess Kaikesi
(We should confuse between Kaikeyi and Kaikesi.) ( Kaikeyi is King Dasaratha’s queen  This Kaikesi is a demons princess)
His grand father is the sage Pulavasu one of the great Saptha Rishis(Seven Rishis)
Ravana’s maternal grand father was a sumali king of Daityas. Kaikesi did not wish to marry any daithya king so she searched and finally married vaisrava Kubera’s father

Thus Ravan was a partly Brahmin and partly daitya. So he was a Brahmadaitya. He has three brothers and a sister (Vibhishanan, Kumbakarnan, Ahiravanan and soorpanaga) that girl with fish like eyes so her original name is Meenakshi but she has very “sharp and tapering end like nails” (Soor means sharp Naga means Nail) that is the reason she was called soorpanaga. Ravana has two maternal uncles called Subagu and Mareecha…
Ravana was a scholar of Vedas under Sage Vaisrava's tutelage. His ten heads are a symbolic way to show the world about his knowledge. He was fully aware of the contents of the six Shastras, as well as his knowledge of the four Vedas, ten Holy Scriptures in all, is by this interpretation considered the inner meaning of the belief that Ravana had ten heads.
Ravana encountered Siva at his abode in Kailasam Ravana at first went to meet Lord Siva. Nandi the mount of Lord refused to let Ravana in. He got annoyed and started teasing Nandi. Nandi in turn got annoyed and cursed Ravana that Lanka would be destroyed by a monkey. Ravana attempted to uproot and move the mountain on a capricious manner. Lord Siva, annoyed by Ravana's arrogance, pressed his littlest Toe on Kailash, pinning him firmly and painfully under it. His Ganas informed Ravana of whom he had crossed, upon which Ravana became wrongdoing. He plucked his nerves and used them as strings to compose music and sang songs praising Siva, and is said to have done so for years until Siva released him from his bondage.

Pleased with Ravana’s prayer the Lord gave him a sword called “Chanrahasa” after he got the divine sword he composed Siva Thandava stotram and Sama vedam. He then got Amirdham from Brahma which he put in his naval. Ravana was a staunch devotee of Lord Siva.
In the beginning Lanka was ruled by Kubera but Ravana demanded Lanka fully from him and was threatening him to take by force. Sage Vishrava, their father, advised Kubera to give it up to him, as Ravana was now stronger than ever.
Ravana proceeding to the heavens fought and defeated the Devas, singling out his brother for particular humiliation. This cruelty and greed greatly angered the Devas. By force he gained command over the devtas, celestials, and the serpent races. During the time of the Ramayana; several hundred years later, Ravana is shown as dominating all human and divine races - so much so that he can command the Sun's rising and setting.

Ravana proceeded on a series of campaigns, conquering humans, celestials and other demons. Conquering the infernal regions completely, he left his brother Ahiravana as king. He became supreme overlord of all asuras in the three worlds,. Conquering several kingdoms of the human world, he performed the suitable sacrifices and was crowned Emperor.
Ravana married the daughter of Mayasura called Mandodari.. She was a famous for her wisdom and grace as well as beauty and chastity. She was one of the five great women (Pancha Kanya)  (Agalya, Thara, Anusuya, Droupathy  and Mandodhari)
Once Ravana unexpectedly met a sage-woman named Vedavati in her hermitage. She was performing a penance to Vishnu and wished to marry him. He proposes to her and she rejected. Ravana ridiculed her by teasing her austerities and her devotion to Vishnu; finding himself firmly rejected at every turn, he tries to bother Vedavati by pulling her hair. She forthwith cut off her hair, and said” Ravana you bothered me when I was in my sincere penance and you pulled my hair. I will go into yogagni since I have been insulted by your wicked act and your arrogance.  I shall be born again for your destruction” and she burnt herself in front of him and celestial flowers fell as rain all around her hermitage... It was she who was born again as Sita, and Married Rama.

This Mahakaviyam gave us Important three type of information. First Dasaratha: He was not just an Emperor of Kosala (Ayodhi). He stands for the body, which is verily the chariot of the ten senses. The body is made up of the five organs of action and the five organs of perception.
In ancient days people marrying many ladies is not uncommon...  (Even   these modern days we are hearing one has more then even two wives).

According to his priest Vasista, King Dasaratha performed Putrakameshti Yagam.  Agni devan rose from the Yagam and gave dasaratha the nectar of deva payasam.  Dasaratha was excited to receive the payasam directly from Agni Devan and offered it to his wives. Through which he got his four sons. The four sons of Dasaratha also signify the four ends of Life: dharma (righteousness), artha (wealth), kama (desire), and moksha (liberation).

This part of Ramayanam - Balakandam enforces and strongly recommended the test tube baby.  It is now become popular.
Question arises “Why is Parasurama in Ramayanam?” Yes…there is a reason. Because of his vow, Dasaratha, had to marry many ladies. Though Parasurama is an incarnation of God, vengeance and revenge still persisted in him. When God created the world, evolutionarily parasurama was a full man but had an animalistic nature. From this we learnt that people should be calm minded.

Lord Parashurama was associated with sins for killing all the kings and destroyed the kingdoms and had visited many temples and removed all his sins.
Arguments in favor of Ravana while often thought of mainly as the having an extremely bad reputation 10-headed demon, Ravana was a outstanding scholar of the vedas and had excellent knowledge art of music he was an amazing veena player….
It is said he even knew that Rama was Narayana (Lord Vishnu) himself, who had come in human form. Yet he thought that he is superior, even devathi deva can not touch, after all this normal human being can not even think of touching him. His penance boons, his arrogant nature, bad surroundings blocked his true knowledge at once. Even a strong devotee of a particular god, for example, by obtaining knowledge he got unmeasured boons. They will last only for those who are a good and pious nature otherwise his boons won’t last. Harassing sages, irritating people, teasing all hermits, hermit ladies, inflicting gods and kidnapping other’s wife were the acts of arrogance that made him loose everything.
However, since there was no other way for Ravana to reach to Narayana, he had to cultivate wanton wickedness, violence and hatred, and invite Rama to kill him. Of course, this might be called a type of devotion that is unpopular. But his inner aim was to cross the ocean of birth and death, surrendered to Narayana.

Dasaratha got liberated Rama born as his son..
Parsurama met Rama and became calm (Even though he is same vishnu’s aspect)
Ravana fought with Rama for his libration ..!!
