A Truth of Wistom

Beeshmar said in Mahabharatham that the mother is the remedy for all kinds of calamities. The existence of the mother invests one with protection; . The man who, earns familiarity or achievement on his carrier or in grief when his relaxing at the time his first words, come out from his heart “Amma” ("O mother!")- A person whose mother exists, even if he happens to be as father of sons /daughters or as grand father and even he/she is hundred yearsold, but in the eyes of mother he/she looks like a child . Whether the mother is able or disabled, lean or robust, the children are always protected by the mother. None else, There is no shelter like the mother's lap. There is no refuge like the mother. There is no defense like the mother. There is no one so dear as the mother. For having borne he /she in her womb the mother is the children's “dhatri”. For having been the chief cause of their birth, she is their “janani”. For having nursed their young limbs, she is called “amva” (Amma). For nursing and looking after the son/daughter she is called “sura”. The mother is one’s ownbody.
(Santhiparvam in Mahabaratham)

Relatedthis there was a pious rich and Goddess Kamakshi devotee lived in Kanchi he always performing pooja and yagas homas giving poor feedings, apart from those he was so kind with all.
One day there were heavy rain thunder storm the weather became in dark, after his pooja is over he went to the corridor and happened to see a man who was shivering with the cold in front of his house. as soon as he saw the stranger,  the pious man brought him in, gave him towel and warm cloth to cover his body. Then he fed him nice food. once the stranger finished his food while he was washing his hands by chance he saw the gods' pictures in Puja hall he did not like and arose very angry and started to scold with abusive words to god, goddess and the pious man. The pious man was patiently under control and unemotional manner. But the stranger increased his tone and harshly insulting with bad words to the goddess, the pious man intolerably he hold his hand drag the stranger and pushed him out of the house and closed the doors. The rain was heavily pouring then that pious man went to pooja room and worshipped as usual and went to sleep. That night goddess Kamakshi appeared in his dream asked the pious man that “why you sent him out of the house in this kind of dark and heavy rainy night” the pious man replayed (in his dream) “O Matha I could not bear that kind of insulting words to you that's why I did so”
Kamakshi said “O my son you could not bear his words of scolding for a few hours but all these days from the beginning having his knowledge, all the time he is doing the same to me, even though did I punish him or forget to feed him”?... said and she disappeared this is called “Mathru Vatsalyam”. Mothergoddess,Devi—is the Supreme Being and “ParaBrahman” and the mother of whole universe. So Mother goddess worshipful of all, the greatest deed, most notable is a huge treasure chest to a man kind

When Saint Thirujnanasambandhar was an infant, hestarted crying of hunger outside a temple. Mother Parvati was filledwith compassion and fed him ,which made him full of wisdom anddevotion on Lord Siva.

It is said Sri Ramanujer Vaishnava saint who did his saranakadi in Srirangam so first he made his saranagadhi to Sri Ranganayaki then he took to Sri Ranganather. Because mother's nature is forgivable but father is always will be very strict.
Hence adoration of devi worship gives strength, moral support, wisdom and wealth.
