Integrities

Kancherla Gopanna alias Bhadrachala Ramadasu, is one of the most popular personalities in Telugu history, music and literature.
He was born in Nelakondapalli village of present day Khammam District. He lived in 17th century..He was working as a Tahsildar (a revenue collector) under king Qutub shahi Sultan in Hyderabad Andrapredesh.
One day, Gopanna visited Bhadrachalam for a fair and he felt very sad that he happened to visited a Sri Rama temple partially ruined state .Because he was a Rama devotee from his child hood. and Bhadrachalam was significant to devotees of Rama however the temple was utterly neglected and he was very sad, and after thinking so long he took a decision So, Ramadasu started to raise funds for the renovation and reconstruction of the temple. He needed more money to finalize the temple and also he could not raise more money.. All the villagers appealed him to spend his revenue collections for the reconstruction and promised to replace the amount after harvesting crops. As planned, Ramadas finished the reconstruction of the temple with six hundred thousand rupees worth of silver coins collected from land revenues - without the permission of the Abul Hasan Qutb Shah.

Soon after the reconstruction though, his miseries started. He was dismissed from his job for misusing the sulthan's tax revenue and was imprisoned in the Golconda fort (near Hyderabad) with orders that he be released only after the
treasury received all the taxes in full. During Ramadasar imprisonment,he implores Rama through many emotional songs that were popularized from the stanzas of 'Dasaradhi Sathakam ' and 'Keertanas' of Bhakta Ramadasa. Ramadasu regularly sang the Lord. The songs ended in a state of total and unconditional surrender to the will of the Almighty and He spent 11to 12 years in prison..
He composed superb high quality “Bhavauchityam” with great devotion of Sri Rama His ‘Dasarathi Satakam’ has also been an extremely popular Satakam. Many old timers known several poems of the Satakam by heart. He became popular not by virtue of being a king, a warrior or a great scholar but because of his beauty of excellent enchanted touching songs and poems lyrics and great devotion extended far his Saranagathi (Surrender) to the Lord.....
After 11to12 years of imprisonment, Lord Rama decided that his devotee's suffering , can come to a conclusion for missed duty and got punished now had reached its ending and rescue him from his sorrows , . Lord Rama and Lakshmana, changed their appearance as two young warriors, entered the bed-chambers of the Sultan Sha in the mid night. They addressed themselves as Ramoji and Lakshmoji and they have come to repay his tax that owed by Gopanna six lakh gold coins imprinted with Rama's own seal in spent for six lakh silver coins with the interest. The Sultan was confused at the appearance of these charming but strange youngsters in his inner quarters at late night in spite of tight security. They demanded the receipt for the paid money and obtained on the spot, The receipt was shown to the jailer who released Gopanna the same night. The next day, both Gopanna and the Sultan realized what had happened. Gopanna alias Ramadasu perplexed with his amazement of his release yet felt sad that he could not see his Lord even with all his devotion while the Sultan was visited by the Lord. One day while Gopanna was sleeping Lord Rama appeared with his consort Sita in his dream and said “ O Ramadasa We re very pleased with your extreme devotion, however the handled method is considered inappropriate hence the suffering was inevitable, We now grant you the boon for salvation at the end of your natural life.” Temple kumbaishekam performed after Gopanna alias Ramadasar released from the jail in a grand manner. In the mean while the Sultan was convinced that whatever had happened was a miracle of Lord Sri Rama. He returned the entire money to the Bhadracalam temple and he honored Badrachalam Ramadasar for his sincere devotion . Since then, it has been the royal custom of the Hyderabad state to send gifts to the temple on the occasion of Sri Rama navami celebrations every year.

This story is a lesson to all the man kind that trust on people is very very necessary but only some extent, we have to understand and analyze before making a decision. Ramadasar should have thought weather those villagers can raise this much of money for him to replace in the treasury before the Sultan's notice. perhaps they failed what will happened his position. He would have not used the Tax money for the further construction.. If he did not use the tax money for the construction, the temple construction work might have been delayed, at that time he would have put more effort to mobilize founds and he build the temple by his own physical exertion and mental power that would have been his splendid achievement. god also will be pleased.. God never accept anything doing for him beyond his devotees limits. If we see all tales of Nayanmars, and alwars all were done very sincere devotion according to their afford ability.
Knowledge is for a highest course of actions, The emotional decision even for a simplest matter will be held up with a course of troubles. So any thing before the process should be a cautious.
It's good to trust all yet the formal assertion is a must.
